Paralegal The candidate will have to perform factual research, document analysis and organization, document drafting, and other tasks that require substantial knowledge of the subject matter. A significant portion of this position's workload will be supporting the registration process for registering (initial registrations, renewals and updates). This position typically works under moderate supervision of an attorney, director, or managing paralegal. Draft legal correspondence, documents, and memoranda for review; once reviewed, may revise, distribute, and transmit legal correspondence, documents and memoranda. Research legal topics, summarize findings in writing and file written summaries in appropriate paper and computer files. Actively contact other associates to obtain information and guidance regarding job to be performed. Compile information and prepare documents for timely registration and regulatory submittals, amendments and renewals. Interact with outside entities, i.e., government agencies, corporations, and other law firms to gather information, documentation or data. Modify existing legal documents and create computer-generated black-line drafts of deeds, leases, contracts and other related documents. Create, update, and maintain database, as appropriate. Analyze various documents as required. Assist with maintaining, updating and distributing various sales and marketing status reports. Consult with and direct files to appropriate associate when issues arise outside of the scope of his or her responsibility or experience. Create and maintain paper and computer files of correspondence and documents. Assist with training new associates, as appropriate. Work with New Owner Administration to provide approved sales documents to on-site sales personnel. Assist in gathering information and resolving issues with clients. Interact regularly with Sales and Marketing Departments. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Good interpersonal relationship skills; Excellent organizational skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks well under pressure; Level of expertise/ knowledge to manage tasks that have an impact on business; Ability to set/adjust priorities effectively; Strong attention to detail; Sound judgment and use of discretion; Diligence, dependability and strong work ethic; PC and other relevant technology competencies (e.g., Microsoft applications).
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 4 years college degree or equivalent qualifying work experience with an excellent employment record; 3 or more years of related substantive and applicable experience as a paralegal or equivalent experience in a law firm, corporate law department, or government agency; timeshare experience preferred.
