Senior Legal Assistant - Paralegal Duties: Provide support to the Legal Department, including the following responsibilities: Create customer contracts by customizing document templates based on credit approvals and pricing approvals. Coordinate contract closing, including execution of documents, administering and filing executed copies of contracts, organizing contract files and improving current filing process. Track contract variances for individual customers communicating significant variances to the Client Integration Function, Credit Department, and other Operating areas of the business as appropriate. Maintain and update contract templates, and, when required, create new contract templates under the direction of the General Counsel or Associate General Counsel. Create and review other types of basic contracts, including non-disclosure agreements and vendor agreements, and coordinate the closing of such contracts. Administrative control of Customer Contract files. Administrative control of Customer Bankruptcy Files and Notices. Administrative control of the electronic customer contract folders and contract templates. Administrative control of Contract Database, including scanning and organization of Contract Documents. Administrative control over corporate minute books. Day-to-day administrative control of the Customer Vehicle Lawsuit process, including tender letters, affidavits, discovery requests and file maintenance and tracking. Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the contract documentation process or as otherwise requested by the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel or Senior Contract Administrator. Draft and review marketing promotional activities. Project tasks and project management responsibilities, as assigned from time-to-time. Support legal personnel, as needed (e.g. transactional; due diligence; audits; litigation responses, scanning, document execution). Prepare and organize documents for and assist in closing corporate and commercial transactions including agreements, certificates, checklists and other documents. Perform legal research. Other duties as assigned. Gain thorough knowledge of company policies, practices and organization as related to areas of responsibility.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Law firm or public company legal assistant experience. Contract and litigation experience required. Notary public certification highly desired. Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Excellent Skills in basic computer proficiency required, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Office. In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles required. The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy required. Ability to work as a team player, as well as across many different departments within the organization required. Ability to work without close supervision.
