Paralegal II Duties: Under the direction of an Attorney or a Senior Paralegal, will support for Legal and Compliance in areas of research, discovery and investigation, analysis of law changes and identification of potential implications, document preparation, records maintenance. As appropriate, develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors, firms, agencies, and other clients and act as first point of contact for internal and external clients Assist with document preparation and filings including but not limited to: disclosures, applications, affidavits, contracts, agreements, resolutions, minutes, etc. As appropriate, research, interpret and analyze law changes for applicable legal area and provide leadership relative to identified areas of risk and recommended actions Maintain record keeping for filings, applications, official responses, contracts in multiple media formats for applicable Legal function and ensure deadlines are maintained and met Assist with investigation and discovery processes Assist with negotiations Continually work to identify and recommend areas for increased efficiency and process improvement General administrative matters including: organizing meetings, presentations, telephone conferences, maintaining calendars, travel, file management, expense reports, updating and managing business processes, correspondence, continuing legal education management, answer phone, process mail, check requests, etc. Administer corporate governance compliance documentation and processes and assist as appropriate with the Board of Directors.

Qualification and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required. Paralegal certificate preferred. 10+ years experience working in a legal environment. Experience with contracts preferred. Ability to work with confidential material and to maintain confidentiality. Proven knowledge of applicable areas of regulations, laws and jurisdictions. Analytical abilities with a high attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interpret legal information and present findings and sound recommendations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance or supervision.
