Corporate Paralegal Duties: Be responsible for researching, drafting and filing legal documents; maintaining corporate books and records; drafting, reviewing and maintaining contracts; supporting corporate transactions and legal claims; assisting with intellectual property filings; and providing administrative support to attorneys. In addition, the Paralegal will be responsible for assisting with managing and ensuring compliance of the Company. Reports directly to General Counsel. Research, docket and perform filings to maintain corporate records. Prepare, draft and review confidentiality agreements and other agreements. Assist attorney(s) in preparation for contract meetings. Review and maintain all agreements entered by the company. Assist and maintain all corporate records. Assist with patent and other intellectual property filings. Provide administrative support for attorney(s). Assist attorney(s) with transaction closings. Conduct legal research. Successfully complete special projects and other assignments.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor degree is required; paralegal certificate is a plus. 3 – 5 years relevant experience is required. Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure, prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment. Proven ability to work effectively in independent settings. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates. Manage various legal department projects and initiatives. Identify and resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point.
