Executive Assistant to CEO Duties: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Brunswick Corporation, will provide Executive support on a day-to-day basis. Will serve as the primary contact for internal and external parties on all matters pertaining to the Office of the CEO. Will act as a liaison to the Board of Directors and Senior Management teams; organize and coordinate executive and external relations efforts; and oversee special projects. Executes a broad variety of tasks for the CEO including: managing active calendar of appointments; expense reports; composing / preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas. Manage key projects regarding events and communication critical to essential functions of CEO. As the initial point of contact for CEO, exhibit a professional and friendly demeanor that reflects the office of the CEO. Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO's schedule is followed and respected. Communicates directly with Board members and staff on matters related to CEO's initiatives. Screens incoming calls to the CEO, determining whether or not it requires the attention of the CEO. Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CEO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response. Provides clear and direct communication between the CEO’s office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff. Partners closely and effectively to keep the CEO well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization, and manages a variety of special projects, some of which may have organizational impact. Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead the company. Arrange, and possibly attend, earnings calls, quarterly business reviews, meetings with Brunswick’s Board of Directors, Leadership meetings. Serves as the CEO’s administrative liaison to Brunswick’s Board of Directors. Assists Board members with travel arrangements, lodging, and meal planning. Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all Board members. Adhere to compliance with applicable rules and regulations set in bylaws regarding Board and Board committee matters.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. 5-10 years’ experience supporting a CEO, COO, or other similar senior-level executive required. Experience working with and supporting Board of Directors required. Experience working in a large (Fortune 1000), public organization with multiple business units is a requirement. Experience with an International company strongly preferred. Experience in contract administration or a paralegal background a big plus. . Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
