Defense Litigation Legal Secretary Duties: Prepares, edits, and proofreads a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements, pleadings, spreadsheets and presentations). Manages and assists with complex document production. Prepares and submits court filings. Exercises judgment and delegates administrative tasks as needed to the appropriate firm resources. Maintains calendars to include coordination and scheduling meetings, depositions, and conference call. Answers telephones taking detailed messages. Maintains confidential information in a professional and trustworthy manner.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Must have 4+ years Litigation experience. Maritime and/or Workers Compensation experience preferred. E-filing experience, State and Federal, required. Secretarial and administrative experience in a law firm or professional services organization. Microsoft Office Word experience required. Strong organizational and communications skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work successfully as part of a team.
