Trading Documentation Paralegal Duties: Support, review and implement final drafting and execution of transactional agreements and related documents for multi-product asset manager. Use previously created templates to create standard legal documentation in Microsoft Word for derivatives, futures, cash trading and other transactional documentation. Organize and file relevant legal documentation into legal document management system and record information in proprietary electronic databases. Assist in all aspects of new account trading documentation onboarding and act as liaison with firm-wide onboarding teams. Organize, and appropriately handle legal documents and sensitive, confidential information. Maintain the legal department’s document retention program, including all electronic and hard storage, both on- and off-site. Support other legal department and credit team on special projects.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate will be intelligent, energetic and goal-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment. Must have a basic knowledge of legal documentation, corporate due diligence procedures and document management systems. Must be a highly organized individual who is detail oriented, logical, able to multi-task and committed to meeting deadlines with limited supervision. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
