Network Engineer Duties: Will report to the Network and Infrastructure Manager. Will be responsible for implementation and management of network solutions in support of strategic business initiatives. Will develop infrastructure solutions to improve operations. Administer, monitor, tune and support of LAN/WAN networks and associated hardware and software. Design, install, maintain, and upgrade infrastructure hardware and software such as Routers and Switches, Firewalls, Load balancers, SAN, NAS, or other architectures. Perform routine network administration and maintenance. Perform reviews of backups, security logs, and error logs; enhance the disaster recovery and information security procedures and ensure the firm’s data is recoverable and secure at all times. Troubleshoot incidents escalated to the Network Group and problem solving. Dispatch contract resources to assist in solving network related issues and completing projects. Project manage those projects associated with the Network Operations Group as assigned by management. Produce clear and concise documentation and keep the documentation up-to-date. Communicate status of initiatives to the Network Operations Manager. Participate with the other Network Operations team members, IS staff, and consultants in accomplishing operational tasks and projects including problem diagnosis and resolution.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in technology related field of study. CCNP, CCNA or similar Cisco certification is referred. The candidate should have 5+ years of related Systems Engineer or Network Engineer experience. Highly experienced with Cisco routers, ASA, Cisco Catalyst, Nexus Switches. Highly experienced with Next Gen firewalls like Palo Alto, and with Load balancers like F5 Big Intellectual Property. Highly experienced with dynamic routing protocols and technologies like EIGRP, BGP and or OSPF. Highly experienced with Datacenter and remote office disaster recovery and high availability strategies. Highly experienced with systems administration processes, duties, tasks, and procedures for all network infrastructure hardware and software. Experience with Lync or Cisco Call Manager preferred. Law firm or legal department experience preferred. Experience with infrastructure monitoring methodologies and solutions. Experience with information systems security knowledge. Ability to perform at a high level of effectiveness in a fast pace environment. Proficiency with Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and problem solving in a fast paced environment. Scripting with PowerShell, batch files, windows scripting, or C programs, etc. to solve problems or enhance systems. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, UltiPro, and Document Management System. Willingness to travel to remote locations when needed, even at a moment’s notice as required. Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and rotating on-call duties to ensure the network is up and running at optimal levels at all times as required. Submit a resume.
