Supervisor – Transfer Department The candidate under the guidance of legal counsel, will be responsible for leading a team and coordinating administrative and customer support activities. In addition, maintain a motivated, engaged and effective team by evaluating employee performance, coordinating training, delegating tasks, updating and ensuring compliance of procedures, developing work schedules and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies. Supervise Transfer Representatives in the handling of cemetery property transactions. Maintain cemetery property documents. Serve as the final review of Transfer Agreement and has signing authority. Remain abreast of industry and regulatory developments. Train and support employees to ensure that transfer transactions are performed accurately and in a timely manner. For openings within department, partner with Human Resources to interview and select candidate. Prepare and oversee department budget. Maintain strict confidentiality and secure work area. Maintain a safe and positive work environment.
Qualification and Experience
A BS/BA degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience in real estate property transactions; paralegal; or real estate escrow are preferred. Should possess strong decision making and analytical abilities. Must demonstrate exceptional poise and composure in the midst of stressful or heated situations and the ability to think quickly, objectively and analytically in responding to issues. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge pertaining to laws and regulations that govern real property. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Bilingual ability and Notary Public certification a plus.
