Paralegal The candidate will report to the Company’s general counsel and join a dynamic group of attorneys, compliance professionals, paralegals and an administrative assistant that operates at a high level and values teamwork, integrity and communication. Acts as a problem solver who shows attention to detail, possesses a strong work ethic, and who takes ownership of and pride in their work and responsibilities. Independently organize, prioritize and oversee incoming requests to the Company’s legal department for information and advice, and work with team members to prepare responses on a wide range of topics. Prepare routine agreements, such as non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents, and develop, organize and maintain databases of such documents. Develop, organize and maintain corporate database and corporate records for numerous U.S. and foreign subsidiaries. Review and process subsidiary resolutions, minutes, qualifications and registrations, ensuring adherence to parent company's policies. Furnish litigation support, including file set-up and maintenance, litigation hold development, document and fact gathering review, preparation for discovery materials and coordination of work through outside counsel. Assist in the development and implementation of document retention policies and procedures. Support the review, coding and processing of bills from outside counsel and other vendors and assist in legal department’s budgeting process. Support the development, organization, communication and tracking of compliance policies, guidance and training, and help in the maintenance of database for compliance investigations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Associate’s Degree is required, Paralegal Certification is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree is ideal. 2+ years' serving in a paralegal role or other similar function within a corporate setting. Proven track record of taking initiative with strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization and problem solving. Ability to partner effectively with all levels in a complex, matrixed organization. Strong proficiency in MS products, including PowerPoint and Excel, along with a knowledge of database systems. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written. Ability to work with integrity and use discretion and judgment.
