Litigation - Foreclosure (Lender-side)
Practice Development Assistant/Business Development Assistant (IP Litigation) Duties: Support IP Litigation practice development team members across the US, Tokyo and Seoul with planning and implementing practice group business development initiatives, including client presentations, professional organization event participation and attendance, public relations initiatives, and responses to RFPs and pitches. Maintain system to track all IP Litigation specific business development initiatives. Assist with marketing initiatives, including client events, conferences, sponsorships, and maintaining and drafting practice-specific marketing materials. Conduct independent research and collect industry data for various projects to further the practice group’s strategic plan. Assist in the development and maintenance of knowledge management tools to assist the practice group with meeting their strategic goals and initiatives. Input practice group and client matters into a database. Help develop and monitor systems to ensure that case data remains up to date. Perform database research and serve as general resource for other users of database. Assist in the coordination of various legal ranking submissions, including working with practice group partners and associates to draft case matter descriptions. Assist with scheduling, agenda preparation and coordination of practice group lunches, partner meetings, and internal group events. Maintain updates to infoNet and other internal knowledge management pages (including posting of news, articles, case law, training materials or other relevant information). Update and maintain IP Litigation email marketing lists. Work with PDM on lateral partner on-boarding tasks including scheduling meetings, creating contact lists and schedules, coordinating with representatives from Operations, Finance, Marketing, Professional Development, and Legal Services, and organizing the delivery of practice group and firm materials. Act as a liaison between the attorneys and various firm administrative groups.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: An undergraduate degree. A law firm background or demonstrated interest in marketing/business, legal services and intellectual property is desirable. Project management and organizational skills. Strong oral communication and writing skills. Ability to identify and solve problems, work independently, and take initiative. Attention to detail. Strong team orientation; ability to work collaboratively in a team setting across offices and geographies. Client service orientation. Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels.
