Part-time Internship Paralegal The program offers an exciting internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in paralegal schools, colleges and universities throughout LA County. Some of the specialized programs such as Family Law Facilitator's Office and Self-Help Centers are staffed by trained paralegals and attorneys. Will join the Civil Court division. Interns may assist with the preparation of legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support and health insurance issues. Interns are required to have completed prerequisite course in Family Law. Benefits offered by this program include: Exposure to Family Law, Civil, Criminal; experience in preparing legal documents; a certificate of completion; letters of recommendation (upon request); networking opportunities; and an overview of Court procedures and Procedures. Must successfully complete program obligations. Candidates with paralegal certificates will be considered. Note: Internship positions are unpaid, but offer vital experience for those interested in a paralegal career. The program requires interns to commit to at least one semester and work a minimum of 12 hours per week.
