Trial Technology Services Manager The candidate will direct, manage and oversee the firm’s trial support process including coordinating for the use of technology in the courtroom, remote trial offices / war rooms, and at other litigation hearings as needed. Consult with legal teams to create compelling graphics for use at trial. Will direct the coordination of efforts with other staff, IT personnel and case teams. Leverage resources of the entire firm to deliver an “in office†experience to those case teams travelling for trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. Coordinate the activities of the trial support team, which might include members of departments such as Customer Service, Network Operations, Procurement, Facilities and Conference Services. Develop and manage master plans for each trial and coordinate individual work tasks, schedules and trial support budgets. Using existing trial support standards and processes, coordinate the cross-functional delivery of all services to case teams, acting as the single point of contact for all questions, concerns and needs. Monitor progress of work assignments; adjust and revise schedules; coordinate changes and update schedules and budgets. Assist with developing, meeting and following Trial Technology operating standards, practices, and procedures, including development and implementation of methods for measuring and reporting on achieving goals and objectives set by senior leadership. Consult, advise and assist attorneys, paralegals and other case team members on trial preparation, ranging from identifying appropriate war rooms spaces to transporting trial materials to site. Create, implement and maintain knowledge databases relevant to trials and presentation work including information about judges’ preferences regarding IT set-ups, courtroom layouts, courthouse restrictions or requirements for the use of outside IT equipment. Create demonstrative visuals for case development, including timelines, graphics, animations, excerpts, Power Point decks and slides, video deposition designations and other presentation materials. Effectively market and promote Firm’s presentation tools, services and trial resources. Investigate and develop trial support best practices and advise case teams on implementing those practices, as well as evaluate and select trial technology tools. Work with Electronic Discovery Services and IT departments to test and implement trial technology software and upgrades within the Firm environment. Identify upcoming trials, hearings and arbitrations and coordinate necessary support and services. Some domestic and/or international travel will be required. Extended travel may be necessary and will be based on trial demands. A BA or BS degree preferred 7 years of trial technology experience required. Consultant and professional services background. Experience in law firm setting is a plus. Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is required. should have high level of competency in the following: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, PDF reading and editing software (Nuance and/or Adobe Acrobat), basic video editing capabilities, and graphic design skills. Experience with more advanced video and animation production software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Animate, and Adobe After Effects, is also a plus. Must have solid understanding of persuasive information design with a strong emphasis in charts, graphs, timelines, and relationship maps. Experience presenting in the courtroom, and with trial presentation products like TrialDirector, Sanction, OnCue a plus. should have experience coordinating cross-functional teams in support of litigation. Must have proven experience with both the creative and operational side of trial case management.
