Litigation - Whistleblower - CFTC

Paralegal CD Duties: Provide support, in a team setting, to attorneys in the Litigation practice group. Coordinating with in-house counsel and paralegals, outside counsel, and company personnel to expedite the collecting, organizing and processing of documents for discovery requests, internal and external investigations, litigation cases, and third-party subpoenas. Working with attorneys, paralegals and clients across the Boeing enterprise to gather paper and electronic files. May include compiling witness lists, scheduling interviews, meetings and depositions, and tracking discovery and collections. Assisting in identifying and locating potential company witnesses, and identifying and collecting relevant documents; Assisting with witness interviews regarding case information, case documents, and preparation of witness memoranda; Drafting document freeze and collection memos; Performing and directing litigation document processing activities and monitoring vendors, and Performing legal and factual research utilizing specialized software (e.g. Lexis/Nexis, CourtLink, WestLaw), the World-Wide Web, the Boeing intranet, and other legal applications. May be required to oversee the work of temporary law staff.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High school diploma / GED and typically 4+ years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Or High school diploma / GED and 7+ years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An ability to obtain an interim and/or final clearance (post-start) is required for this position. Bachelor degree and/or paralegal degree from an accredited university and 5+ years of Litigation paralegal experience is preferred. Experience handling litigation matters is required, as is the use of electronic discovery and database tools. Should be able to manage databases and recommend possible solutions and courses of action to senior paralegals. Must be able to work independently and handle given assignments with minimal oversight by attorneys and/or lead paralegals.
