Administrator - Regulatory Law Duties: Assist Vice President, Regulatory Law in the performance of legal activities with respect to USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, HIPAA, data security and breach notifications and conducting legal research by gathering and organizing government and regulatory compliance data and drafting responses to government agencies. Frequent independent judgments are essential. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Review Western Union transactional data to identify suspicious activity. Prepare, draft legal documents and respond to Office for Civil Rights Complaints, IRS Title 31 audits, consumer complaints and Federal and State agency requests. Conduct legal research into various state and federal laws, rules and regulations concerning HIPAA, Privacy, data security and breach notification, federal programs and money service business activities. Interact with internal and external contacts with regard to various regulatory issues. Review Rite Aid Suspicious Activity Reports and, if appropriate, file Suspicious Activity Reports with the federal government. Complete various office duties such as answer the telephone, fax, copy and file.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Associate's degree (AA) in Paralegal Studies, Legal Administrative Assistant or equivalent program plus 1-3 years’ of training in a private, public, and/or corporate law practice; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. Typing speed of seventy (70) WPM. Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
