Paralegal Duties: Will be responsible for supporting the Legal team for all business lines. Provide a broad range of legal support and administration to members of the Legal team relating to litigation, human resources, corporate governance and compliance, contract management, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate matters. Will work closely with the department’s matter management and contract management software packages. Assist with discovery requests and other litigation-related research and drafting. Maintain litigation holds. Research and draft responses to informal agency investigations. Oversee the day-to-day tasks associated with company's subpoena response process. Draft, review, and analyze contracts. Assist with company's corporate compliance process. Prepare and review documents for mergers and acquisitions, assist in closings and handle post-closing administration work. Perform some general administrative work (keeping calendars, red-lining, expense reports, travel arrangements, etc.).
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience. 2+ years of applicable experience. Advanced experience with standard legal department technology, including MS Word, Outlook, automated. contract / matter management systems, spreadsheets, databases, and legal research tools. Ability to work with, and adapt to, a wide range of software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with multiple levels of corporate management. Excellent research skills. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree. 2+ years of experience with litigation, particularly e-discovery procedures. Experience with a large corporation.
