Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Be responsible for providing support to the attorneys in the Real Estate Section. Report to a designated member in charge of Real Estate Paralegals and the Section Manager. Coordination of purchase and sale transactions (commercial, office and retail), loan transactions and development transactions. Assist with the purchase, sale, sale/leaseback, and ground lease transactions for multi-state assets. Work with title companies and surveyors to negotiate title insurance coverage and survey certifications. Prepare and review drafts of leases. Review and comment on title and survey work. Work on title clearing matters. Create and qualify entities. Coordinate recording of documents in connection with closings. Draft and solicit tenant estoppel certificates and subordination agreements. Prepare objection letters. Draft conveyance and other closing documents. Assume additional responsibilities.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. 3-4 years' transactional experience, preferably in a law firm environment. Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities and resourcefulness. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet various, and sometimes competing deadlines.
