Paralegal The candidate will work under the direction of an attorney, resolve routine legal issues. Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, legal articles, and legal codes in order to prepare and/or analyze legal documents. Prepare (or assist in the preparation of) legal documents such as contracts, demand letters, accelerated rent letters, easement agreements, lease amendments, memorandum of lease, subordination non-disturbance agreements, estoppel consents, landlord's waiver and consents, settlement agreements or transfer documents. Review and analyze ground leases, tenant leases, amendments, assignments, settlement agreements, subordination non-disturbance agreements, estoppel, and contracts. Coordinate real estate closings and mortgage closings. Review, analyze and organize a variety of legal matters, including due diligence. Correspond with third parties on a variety of legal matters, including obtaining additional information. Work with various departments within company, such as the Regional Site Managers, Site Marketing Managers, Accounting Department, Collections Department, Property Management, Tax Department, Legal Compliance, Real Estate, New Builds, and Site Administration. Follow up with various sellers, ground lessors, tenants, vendors, customers and outside counsel on a variety of legal matters. Coordinate dissemination of documents to various departments within company. Coordinate the dissemination of documents to the outside collection agencies. Maintain and distribute various trackers and logs. Duties will include preparation of letters, memos, and reports. Review and maintain litigation and other legal files. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have AA degree, BA/BS in related field is preferred. Must have 5+ years paralegal experience. Certified paralegal is preferred. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field is required. Must have demonstrated advanced knowledge and ability to work with MS Office. Knowledge of PACER is preferred. Excellent written, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
