Paralegal Duties: Provide legal assistant support at direction of supervising attorneys to the Legal and Government Affairs Department and internal clients as assigned. Use initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision. Create, prepare, review, proof, edit and manage documents, including contracts, corporate records, correspondence, reports and presentations. Research and analyze issues in a wide variety of subject areas of health care law affecting PBMs, PBM customers and pharmacies. Investigate and monitor legal issues impacting PBMs, PBM customers and pharmacies. Identify and resolve or escalate issues. Support litigation management. Develop and maintain positive relationships across Prime.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Legal Assistant or Paralegal certificate and 2 years Legal Assistant experience, or B.A. plus 1 year Legal Assistant experience, or 10 years Legal Assistant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Employment as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal for PBM or healthcare company or law firm advising a healthcare company. Familiarity with contract terms and a thorough understanding of the contract negotiation process. Ability to learn and apply practice area concepts to the appropriate assignments. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access. Familiarity with Medicare Part D and Medicaid. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain appropriate prioritization and productivity while working under deadlines. Effectively analyze, synthesize and manage complex information. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Organizational skills. Strong work ethic.
