Litigation Secretary Duties: Performs a variety of duties for multiple attorneys. Types, edits and files (at times composes) all correspondence, including letters, memoranda, pleadings, and other documents. Opens new files, checks conflicts of interest, maintains all client and general files. Communicates effectively with administrative support by apprising of deadlines, attorney travels plans, etc. Works with Billing Department and clients regarding attorneys’ bills. Maintains professional appearance and attitude; maintains good public relations with clients; retains confidentiality of attorney-client relationship. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: Must have 5+ years of litigation experience performing secretarial and administrative duties. Medical litigation experience a plus. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and exceptional client service. Knowledge of courts, E-Filing, time entry (Intapp, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is essential. Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications, word processing, etc .Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong organizational skills a must. Excellent typing (65+wpm) skills will be required.
