Paralegal The candidate under supervision of attorneys, performs work that is varied and that may be complex in character. Conduct extensive legal research on a broad range of general corporate matters and state and federal consumer lending statutes and regulations. Summarize lengthy legal research into matrices that enable attorneys and other staff to easily reference relevant information. Assist attorneys in preparation of memorandum in connection with federal and state law as well as other matters. Responsible for communicating successfully both orally and in writing (including memorandum, letters and email) to business clients, customers, internal staff and external counsel. Paralegal training, undergraduate degree (BA or BS) is preferred. Should have 3+ years’ experience working in a corporate legal department, law firm or significant experience in a related field. Must have strong technical and analytic skills, especially relating to Lexis/Westlaw, as well as Word and Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with customers, regulators, and staff are needed.
