Documentation Specialist The candidate will handle the day-to-day tasks of document review and preparation for company Commercial. Responsible for reviewing legal/account documents to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Review documents for accuracy and completeness before presenting to other entities of the business, including, credit providers, credit team, legal, management and/or finance departments. Research, understand, and make competent decisions regarding various tax issues across the US. Research and follow up daily on documentation requested and not received. Handle vendor forms, lien waivers, customer document request, etc. Coordinate with legal on any document request before submission to the customer. Communicate with other departments within company and outside vendors as it relates to acquiring needed documents. Update systems and appropriate databases with information pertaining to document location. Monitor and reply to all e-mail sent to department general e-mail mailboxes pertaining to document status. Complete Vendor Pay Applications per customer requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school diploma or equivalent. Must have 1-2 years of related experience. Must have prior experience as a paralegal, communications specialist, legal secretary, etc. Excellent written and oral communication skills are needed. Basic computer skills are needed. Should have in depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Must have in depth knowledge of various tax laws/policies.
