Client Development Manager Asia Pacific Duties: Reporting to: Head of Business Development, Asia Pacific. Working closely with relationship partners, key client decision makers and members of the BD & Marketing network. Focuses on strategic client account management coaching, driving BD & marketing initiatives with key clients and identifying and targeting revenue generation and profile raising opportunities. Client account management: manage a portfolio of 3-4 of the Region's key client accounts, working with the key relationship partners to develop and implement regional/global client plans. Identify and pursue opportunities to deepen the client relationship. Manage communication and information flow around client initiatives internally and externally. Key client programs: working closely with various BD managers, develop key client programs for PG/IGs and ensure collaboration and connectivity across local, regional and global client efforts. Provide guidance and coaching to local offices on setting up local client programs. Account management training and coaching: working closely with the Head of BD, deliver training to Partners and BD teams on client management best practices, tools and resources. Provide consultation to resolve client relationship issues. Client review program: refresh the Firm's regional client review program, including providing guidance on local office programs and driving the follow up actions arising out of client care feedback reviews (including relationship reviews, PTRs, pitch reviews and secondment briefings and debriefings). Complete 120+ reviews across Asia Pacific each year. Client secondment program: develop and implement a secondment program for the region, maximising the value of these opportunities to get closer to clients. Monitor strategic direction and execution of secondments. Client events - Launch the CSD community webinar series and other connectivity platforms. Manage client development initiatives around regional events, including the client program at the annual Asia Pacific Meeting and other regional meetings. Marketing initiatives: working with the Head of Integrated Marketing and various regional client and BD managers, tailor wider marketing and profile raising campaigns for specific client accounts. Client development infrastructure - efficient and effective roll-out of the Firm's client development infrastructure, the Region's client relationship management trackers, financial analysis and other systems and processes supporting client development efforts across the region. Pitches: develop and maintain generic clauses relating to regional client value proposition, value adds, client secondments and other related content for the region. AP Research: manage the research function, including systems and processes to deliver high quality research reports to support business development and marketing efforts across the region. Team management: managing the day-to-day activities of team members, ensuring the effective running of the team, conducting performance reviews, developing career plans and setting KPIs. Budgets – oversee the management of relevant budgets related to client initiatives.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: An appropriate tertiary qualification (likely to be in marketing, business or management). 6+ years of relevant experience in a legal or related professional services environment. Excellent English Language written/verbal communication skills. Proven track record in client development, business development and marketing in a professional services environment. Genuine interest in business, across business trends (similar practice group exposure would be desirable) and able to align them with an organisation's strategic direction. Strong team and stakeholder management, training and coaching experience across different levels. Experience in dealing with highly intelligent and demanding internal clients at a senior level. Effective interpersonal, influencing and project management skills. Self-motivated and enthusiastic with requisite personal drive and energy.
