Operations and Corporate Support Paralegal Responsibilities: Assist with development and implementation of corporate governance and compliance policies and procedures for a large electrical contracting business. Facilitate multi-state contractor licensing, including coordination and tracking of qualified individuals and maintenance of current licenses. Support and promote an organizational culture of ethical operations and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and contracts. Assist with corporate governance matters. Maintain multi-state corporate registrations and licenses. Review, negotiate and draft basic commercial agreements and amendments. Collect and produce documents required in connection with regulatory or legal proceedings. Perform legal research as required. Assist with development and implementation of legal training and education programs. Ensure timely responses to legal notices, records requests and subpoenas. Provide operational support and liaison function with internal and external stakeholders on wide variety of legal matters.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. JD Degree /Paralegal Certification; and experience in the construction industry a plus. Knowledge and understanding of the elements of an effective compliance program. Experience with contracts management. Understanding of subpoenas and other legal processes and the related collection and production of documents. Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and identify issues, collect data/evidence, establish facts, and report conclusions. Ability to formulate creative solutions to accomplish the company’s objectives. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with consistently high quality work product. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees, across departments and business units. Experience preparing presentations and training materials. Strong technology skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
