Global Senior Creative Manager Responsibilities: Manage, develop, and mentor an internal global team, currently based across the firm's London, DC, Toronto and Berlin offices. Manage and work with external contract designers. Foster a creative environment that is conducive to creative development. Determine production schedule by working with BD, Comms, and Digital; outlining basic presentation concepts; coordinating creative activities. Responsible for working closely with internal clients and the brand management team to obtain and translate marketing objectives and campaigns into a creative execution. Lead the development, presentation and execution of a wide variety of marketing collateral, including ads, brochures, bids, annual reports, presentations, charts, graphs, event materials, and special projects – in both print and electronic formats. Must be team player/leader and be able to supervise multiple people on multiple projects under tight deadlines, across various time zones. Monitor and adhere to all privacy, bar association, SLA or anti-spam control and any other legal requirements affecting marketing-related material or initiatives. Support Global Brand Director and wider creative team day–to-day and on a project basis. Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; recommending changes to art, copy writing, and production. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to requirements. Oversee creative project management by working with Brand Managers, by tracking each job through to completion and delivery. Advise internal clients (lawyers, leadership, marketing/business development, support services, third parties) on the correct application of the firm's brand and corporate visual identity. Develop relationships with partners, other fee earners and support departments to ensure smooth delivery of creative initiatives. Work closely with global marketing services and business development team to encourage and support global initiatives wherever possible. Build and maintains trusted advisor relationships with lawyers, staff, agencies, photographers and other external third party suppliers. Act as brand ambassador across all channels. Works closely with Global Brand Director and Brand management to adhere to budget in all areas. Effectively manages resources, budget and relationships with external suppliers to ensure highest return on budget spent.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA degree in graphic and/or web design. Substantial experience at a design firm, agency, or in-house design department. Experience with law firms and professional services firms is a plus. Strong design portfolio (print and web) with 12+ years' experience; previous experience working in a corporate or professional services environment preferred. Advanced knowledge of design and applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; Excellent level of computer literacy, proficient in all Microsoft Office. Technical knowledge of printing and online production processes. Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet demanding deadlines. Hands-on design capability while juggling multiple geographies and projects. Advanced understanding of branding, corporate identity systems and identity application. Demonstrated ability to deliver successful brand initiatives from concept through to completion. Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written, in order to articulate creative concepts, communicate best practice and process. Excellent client management and negotiating skills. Understanding of information design, interface design and interaction design. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to establish good working relationships and promote best practice across all offices and at all levels. True team player; team and people-management skills. Highly organized in order to successfully manage a varied and sizable workload. Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and an understanding of the need for documentation and well-defined procedures. Shows resilience to overcome obstacles to deliver what is required. A passion for all things design.
