Litigation - Foreclosure (Lender-side)

Paralegal Duties: Reports directly to the Paralegal and Project Support Manager. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, notices and subpoenas. Conduct various document searches and factual research. Set up, index and maintain files that are organized chronologically, numerically and/or by subject matter. Compile medical records and experience preparing medical summaries. Prepare witness and matter materials for case preparation using relevant documents for attorney review. Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations and trials. Organize exhibits, files and all other supporting documents to prepare for trial. Experience working in databases to including setup, retrieval of data and documents, and data entry; experience in Case Logistics (CLX) is a plus. Summarize depositions and discovery responses.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 4 year degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program. 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal or other relevant experience in order to be familiar with court rules, procedures, calendaring requirements so as to be able to perform litigation and administrative duties in a professional services setting. Pharmaceutical and/or mass tort litigation experience a plus. Ability to prioritize, organize and manage work load and to take the initiative in handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done. Familiar with filing procedures in both state and federal courts. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior technology skills – proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook). Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others. Requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to exercise good judgment.
