Paralegal The candidate will assist with substantive legal work for which an attorney is responsible, and the day-to-day needs of the attorney(s) is assigned to. Will maintain a billable hour goal of 1,440 hours, track and maintain the own hours, both billable and non-billable, communicate with attorney and/or client to take instructions, obtain information, report on status of matters and otherwise support legal actions. Organize, maintain, review, summarize and analyze documents and records, compile information, and recommend course of action.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelor's degree, advanced paralegal certificate, or relative job experience is required. Must have prior law firm experience and demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Be familiar with locating and obtaining Court records. Must develop and maintain knowledge of statutes, court decisions and customs relating to legal procedures and practices in appropriate areas of law including filing procedures in all required states. Must be able to attend and assist at trial, prepare for, schedule and summarize depositions, conduct client interviews, conduct research, prepare subpoenas, pleadings, and exhibits. Good typing skills, communications skills and organizational skills are all required. On occasion must be able to work OT as required.
