ProfileLegal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate works closely with foreclosure attorneys, and manages and maintains assigned foreclosure files. Responsibilities include reviewing NJ Title and determining which parties will need to be joined in our pleadings, monitoring when documents are received in order to complete reviews, requesting additional documents as needed in order to complete reviews, providing status requests and conducting follow-ups as needed. Primary Responsibilities: Handle reviewing NJ Title in order to complete Complaint preparation. Requesting and following up for all documents as needed in order to complete reviews. Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly to keep the client informed of the status of the foreclosure process via on-line systems and/or via e-mail and telephone. Respond to inquiries from all stakeholders in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate records in both client systems interface and firm system of record. Perform other duties as required.
Qualification and Experience
College degree preferred. Successful completions of legal assistant or paralegal diploma or equivalent experience a plus. Previous experience with foreclosure and/or default mortgage servicing with specific regard to New Jersey desired. Previous NJ Title Review experience a plus. Skilled in the use of MS Office Suite of products, particular emphasis on Outlook and Excel. Exceptional organizational skills including superior attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
