ProfileParalegal The candidate will provide legal, corporate secretarial and administrative support in the management of a portfolio of captive insurance companies and risk retention groups. Co-ordination of client Board meetings, including preparation of meeting notices, proxies and Board books. Taking or transcribing minutes of Board and Committee meetings. Drafting corporate resolutions and amendments to bylaws. Researching domicile requirements and corresponding with captive domicile regulators including preparation of captive applications. Maintaining required documentation to meet SSAE16 and other firm-wide standards. File management including maintaining client extranet sites. Assistance in the preparation of insurance company documentation, including insurance policies and certificates of insurance. General office administration.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Business related associates degree or higher. Prior experience in a law firm or professional services firm a plus. 5+ years’ experience in a paralegal, administrative or similar position. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines for a number of different staff. Strong Microsoft office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook. Powerpoint and graphics skills a plus. A reliable team player who is willing to help where needed. A strong work ethic with pride in the quality and timeliness of their work. Good time management skills.
