Senior SOW Contract Specialist Responsibilities: Will provide global support for company's services organization and services helpdesk (clients) in the review of IT-related statements of work, change orders, etc. (SOWs), services agreements and all related contracts and documentation to be entered into between company, its customers and/or third parties, including Alliance members (collectively, “service contractsâ€). Provide legal advice on service contracts and project management matters. Work collaboratively with the rest of the global company's legal team, functional groups and administrative staff. Act as initial point of contact with clients on matters related to the role. Conduct legal and/or business research, gather information and provide timely and relevant information to respond to legal and business inquiries. Prepare drafts of service contracts including recommendations for additions, revisions and/or improvements, including circulating drafts for comments from clients, and consulting and interacting with outside counsel as required. Lead legal negotiations in connection with service contracts. Create, update and maintain templates, alternate language library, training materials etc. Streamline and standardize process and procedures as appropriate. Communicate and train clients on standard processes and procedures for requesting and completing service contracts.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification Requirements: Paralegal certificate . 5+ years’ practical experience as an in-house attorney or contract specialist in an IT or software company. Excellent time management skills. Must be familiar with contractual and compliance issues for an IT or software company, including US FCPA laws, and basic export control and revenue recognition rules. Must possess good business judgment and initiative and the ability to take independent and decisive action, and to know when to seek advice. Must possess excellent communication, drafting and presentation skills, preferably with experience in communicating with a global audience. demonstrated ability to analyze, negotiate and clearly communicate on legal and business issues.
