Paralegal The candidate will be a key member of the Legal Department, reporting and providing direct support to one of the Company’s Associate General Counsels, as well as providing support as needed to other attorneys on a wide variety of matters for each of the Company’s business units’ needs, including commercial contracts, dispute resolution, acquisitions, and real estate. Will liaise as needed with other support and business functions to resolve issues. Draft, negotiate, and finalize for execution confidentiality agreements, terms and conditions, general correspondence, and basic letter agreements. Assist attorneys in the preparation, negotiation and execution of commercial contracts. Maintain contracts database and other department records and files. Support attorneys and business personnel with documents and processes relating to commercial transactions. Respond to requests from internal clients for documentation. Ensure that Company activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and procedures. Develop a working understanding of and familiarity with the Company’s business, corporate structure, locations, people, products and technologies. Serve as general resource/back-up for other Legal Department team members. Perform special assignments and projects without significant supervision.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree, and paralegal certificate. 3+ years of paralegal and/or contract manager experience with a corporate legal department and/or law firm. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels throughout the Company. Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. Computer proficient, with capability and willingness to become proficient in all of the Company’s matter and contract management systems. Must demonstrate maturity and initiative. Team oriented, “hands on” and able to work independently. Acute attention to detail. Enthusiasm and “self-starter” qualities enabling the paralegal to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency and to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
