Estate and Trust Administration Paralegal The candidate will work directly with attorneys and clients during estate and trust administration, and qualified candidates must be highly organized, detail-orientated, and a self-motivator. Management of probate estate process and procedures. Preparation of trust and estate accountings. Trust administration. Preparation of federal and state income and estate tax returns (Forms 1040/MO-1040/1041/MO-1041 and Form 706). Assists in preparing, retaining, and organizing legal documents, agreements, pleadings, and accountings related to trust and estate administration. Professionally and clearly communicate with clients, attorneys, and all levels of staff. Perform other tasks as required with accuracy and efficiency.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. 3+ years’ direct experience; 5 years preferred. Experience with estate and trust tax software (knowledge of ProSeries, GEMS, and EstateVal a plus). Ability to produce accurate legal documents with minimal supervision. Experience preparing forms 1040 required. Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required.
