Paralegal The candidate's primary job responsibilities: perform legal research, conduct fact investigations, and manage complex projects. Review Proprietary Information Agreements (PIAs) to identify key areas of concern and the business needs of the customer. Conduct information integrity investigations. Perform review and analysis of contract terms and conditions to minimize company’s risk. Administer and maintain Law Department projects, policies, procedures, and practices. Draft, review, and revise documents; provide support to outside counsel and internal Law Department personnel. Identify, collect, and organize relevant documents in response to requests. Perform oversight of legal support and training. Maintain legal management systems and databases. Coordinate interview activities. Respond to requests for documents. Develop and maintain document retention activities. Coordinate and process communication, correspondence, and documentation with outside counsel, the responsible attorney, and other personnel. Identify and protect all oral and written communications. Schedule and coordinate work load support of legal management activities. Conduct training. Conduct interviews to gather background information and identify issues for legal reviews. May lead practice group activities and deploy key messages in support of business managers.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have experience drafting, reviewing and revising contracts, such as purchase agreements, software licenses, supply agreements, services agreements, non-disclosure agreements or memorandums of understanding. Experience conducting in-depth research and general legal research, including statutory, regulatory, interpretive agency documents, legislative histories and case research, within the last 2 years, using Lexis/Nexis and/or Westlaw. Current hands-on experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Demonstrate outstanding writing and analytical abilities. Requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Preferred qualifications: Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations and supplemental regulations. Experience with SharePoint set-up, WebEx set up and records management systems. Experience working with sensitive information and safeguarding confidential information.
