ProfileLegal Assistant -Business and Tax The candidate will provide overall support to Attorneys' business needs. Conduct research to support legal proceedings. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Record and store client information. Redlining/comparing documents. Transcribing dictation. Inputting Attorney's time into accounting program for billing purposes. Working with accounting to generate bills/drafting bill correspondence. Maintaining Attorney calendars. Assembling documents, scanning and creating CD's for transactional closing binders. Must have 1 year of corporate and/or law firm experience. Must have experience with transcription. Should have familiarity with legal research.
