Administrative Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will: Assist team of attorneys in insurance defense litigation. Legal Research using LEXIS. Factual research through on line sources. Use Excel to prepare budgets, charts and analysis of data. Prepare a synopsis of contents of file. Handle requests/retrieval of medical records, work records, government agency records, including preparation of authorizations for pending lawsuits. Document management for complex litigation including use of Adobe Acrobat and databases. Review documents for privilege and prepare of privilege logs. Prepare discovery demands, motions and other litigation documents. Proofread and correct prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content. Composes routine letters and memoranda. Reviews legal documents to ensure they are in proper format and contain all necessary portions or related documents for court acceptance. Files legal documents with proper courts, including use of PACER and ECF. Prepare trial materials. General office duties.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Paralegal certificate required. Knowledge of Juris Billing System and document management systems is helpful. Strong organizational skills required.
