Bankruptcy and General Litigation Legal Assistant The candidate will be producing information by formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics. Will be redlining and formatting large documents. Drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information. Proficiently filing legal documents with various federal and state courts and agencies (both electronic and manually). Maintaining documents and files in securely-managed document management system. Trial preparation and support. Answering routine questions from clients and staff members and/or routing calls to appropriate staff members. Maintaining attorney calendars and master docket calendar. Superior computer and MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel), including Table of Authorities is needed. Knowledge and familiarity of federal and state court procedures (including e-filing), application of local rules, and docketing is advantageous. Must have 3+ years of experience working as a Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary specifically in bankruptcy litigation using Electronic Case Filing (ECF) and preparing the required motions and orders. Must have experience in both litigation and bankruptcy practices. Specific knowledge of bankruptcy filing and procedure is required.
