Documentation Specialist DUTIES: Provide assistance and backup regarding all global and domestic derivative contract negotiations and documentation management. Assist in preparing, producing, and maintaining the following agreements: International Swaps & Derivatives Association (ISDA) Master Agreements (including Schedules and Credit Support Annexes), Securities Lending Agreements, Prime Broker Agreements, FX Prime Brokerage Agreements, Futures Agreements, Options Agreements, Swap Agreements, Cash Trading Agreements, Give-Up Agreements, Trade Licensing Agreements, FX Exchange Agreements, LSTA and LMA trade documentation and any other relevant documentation and subsequent amendments. Review and negotiate discretionary trading authorizations, cross trade consents, advisory representations, all trade related agreements, collateralization arrangements, powers of attorney, certificates of incumbency, corporate certification and authorizations and authority documents. Assist and act as back-up in managing daily broker documentation request fulfillment. Act as an integral member of the Derivatives Committee to assess and address all derivative related issues that may significantly impact all funds within the Federated fund complex. Act as an informational resource for Portfolio Managers, Traders and trading management for all derivative related matters. Work with multiple global custodians in an effort to provide expert analytical insight and research on behalf of all Portfolio Manager and Trader requests to open local trading accounts on multiple international exchanges. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Head of Trading, Chief Investment Officers, Portfolio Managers, Traders, industry vendors, global custodians and the brokerage community. Assist with the education and training of business and investment personnel and other control groups concerning significant legal issues relating to derivative contracts.
Qualification and Experience
Duties: Bachelor degree required; degree in business field or paralegal studies preferred. 3+ years of business experience required; legal experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of the terms of ISDA agreements as related to trade details, collateralization requirements, payment terms, assignments, unwinds and default procedures preferred. Knowledge of derivatives instruments and their regulatory/legal requirements required. Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Strong analytical and research oriented skills required.
