ProfileParalegal Supervisor -Product Specialist Mutual Funds-Level 1 Duties: Reports directly to Senior Managing Counsel in coordinating and/or completing all paralegal-related work required with respect to creating new funds, fund mergers, liquidations and restructurings, changes to existing funds and other high-level projects. Drafting and/or reviewing Board materials, Form N-1A registration statements, prospectuses, SAIs and stickers, Form N-14 registration statements, proxy statements, information statements and related materials, shareholder meeting materials, timelines, issues lists, closing documents for affiliated and unaffiliated fund mergers and offering of closed-end funds, due diligence and exemptive applications, as applicable. Researching, analyzing and addressing issues and attending meetings, including any shareholder meetings. Regular, ongoing interaction with Product Development and Product Management senior managers and Wealth Management, outside counsel, independent registered public accountants, sub-advisers and/or boutiques, and other business partners. Facilitates communication among all major stakeholders, including senior management and control functions.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A paralegal certificate from a business school, college or university, or for Corporate Secretarial Services only equivalent work experience (5+ years) is required, a bachelor's degree is preferred. 2+ years of the paralegal experience will be in a corporate legal environment. Strong analytical skills; proven leadership and supervisory skills; excellent oral, written and presentation skills; excellent problem analysis and solution skills; proven planning, organizational and work assignment skills; proven ability to deliver precise and timely work products; demonstrated initiative and high work standards; demonstrated ability to motivate others to get the job done; proven ability to handle multi-tasks and stress are a must.
