ProfileMedia Rights Analyst & Contract Administrator Responsibilities: Work directly with in-house television productions to identify, capture, store and report content elements used within programs that may restrict their use on other platforms. Responsible for entering new contract terms in the business rights management system (RightsLogic) and ensuring all dependent internal stakeholders have access to the latest information.. Capture contract terms in RightsLogic, manage file structure, update contract information and ensure contract filing is current and documentation is complete. Review all content related contracts to ensure terms are accurately entered into the system. Daily monitoring of proprietary database (Title Registry) for new entries and subsequent communication/coordination with linear and digital programming stakeholders. Work with show producers on gathering rights related information for internally produced programs. Communicate program availability to internal programming stakeholders and to Corporate Services department for other territory obligations. Review content within program(s) to assess risk and develop editing notes (Metadata/Rights document) to ensure compliance with departmental policies. Support the MRM manager with interdepartmental training (for producers, editors, management, etc.). Provide general support to department management by working on special assignments and/or projects.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: BA / BS in Communications, Business Management or related field. Paralegal certificate a plus. 2-3 years experience supporting television show production (daily/news type programming is best); 2-3 years experience analyzing and summarizing contracts preferred. Basic knowledge of intellectual property law, rights of publicity and privacy rights. Knowledge of production legal forms/agreements (i.e. participant/performer release forms, location agreements, etc.). Familiarity with digital transactions/agreements, content licenses, releases, etc. High customer service orientation. Strong communication skills. English and Spanish fluency (written & verbal). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and interacts well with all levels of management and generates strong client satisfaction, service, and productivity. Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities. Highly motivated and with a desire to work in a team environment.
