Paralegal The candidate will expect to effectively and efficiently carry out a variety of Legal Department functions including, contract management, report preparation, litigation management, legal research and drafting, corporate entity maintenance, coordinate activities with outside counsel and generally assist the General Counsel in carrying out department functions. Will perform this job successfully, an individual must be highly motivated, detail oriented, flexible and able to perform in a high paced environment. Perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Prepare and track different types of agreements, review and manage changes, monitor status, execution, implementation and regulatory compliance. Research, review, draft various documents and submission with attention to deadlines. Communicate (written and verbal) with outside attorneys, regulatory agencies and courts. Monitor and track developments in litigation, regulatory and investigatory matters in matter management system. Identify, collect and respond to a variety of information requests. Coordinate with outside counsel (U.S. and international) on various legal matters. Review and process legal service invoices and maintain compliance with outside counsel guidelines. Prepare and maintain organizational documents, corporate records, licenses, certificates and policies for U.S. and international affiliates. Prepare internal periodic reports. Assist the General Counsel in all matters. Assist with various projects. Administrative office functions of Legal Department. Four-year degree in business or related field and/or paralegal certification is preferred. Foreign legal experience and/or legal education is preferred. Advanced knowledge of litigation issues such as discovery, e-discovery, garnishments and procedure is preferred. Experience using contract and matter management software applications is preferred. Should have 4+ years of paralegal experience in law firm or corporate law department. Experience drafting, reviewing and managing contracts is needed. Familiarity with corporate organizational matters and documentation is essential. Knowledge of legal terminology is advantageous. Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe) as well as ability to learn software and to perform data retrieval from various software systems is needed. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in Spanish and English is needed. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
