Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Draft and review contracts and other documents related to land acquisition and sales and vendor agreements. Organize and track information regarding real estate and commercial transactions. May perform due diligence. Prepare spreadsheets and reports. Document management. Support a team of 3 in-house lawyers.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 5 years as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or legal department. Experience with real estate transactions and examining title commitments is strongly preferred. 5+ years as a Title Examiner in the real estate industry in lieu of legal experience would be considered. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, database and document management. Certification as a legal assistant or paralegal is a plus. Experience performing due diligence and title research is strongly preferred. A strong customer service orientation with tact and professionalism to work with many kinds of personalities.
