Corporate Paralegal, Healthcare The candidate will uphold the values and standards of the Tandem Hospital Partners Family. Will amend, validate, and review various contracts and legal documents. Maintain board meeting notes and associated meeting documents. Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance. Prepare and reaffirm filings. Develop/maintain product, regulatory, and operational knowledge for assigned businesses. Assist in delivering targeted compliance training and communications. Prepare compliance and privacy reviews of business processes and products. Review new and modified products and services to ensure regulatory compliance. Review, and implement operational policy and procedure development as needed. Deliver periodic compliance and privacy reports to leadership. Assist in investigations of allegations of improper conduct and oversee corrective action plans as necessary. Oversee remediation and corrective action plans, resulting from audits, investigations, compliance reviews, and self-identified issues. Must have an associate's degree with a Paralegal certificate from an ABA Qualified school. Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University is preferred. Should have 6+ years of healthcare experience. Must have 2+ years of experience with hospital systems or regulations. Understanding of HIPAA and state privacy laws is needed. Knowledge and expertise of Microsoft Suite tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Legal experience related to healthcare and/or insurance law in either a law firm or in-house setting is preferred. Significant experience with healthcare licensing is preferred. Multi-state experience is preferred. Medicare/Medicaid familiarity is preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory.
