Paralegal - Wealth Management The candidate will support attorneys advising the retail investment advisory, asset management and retirement businesses, and will also support business and corporate governance attorneys, including those acting as Secretary to Board of Directors, as needed or on a project basis. Support business attorneys in all facets of legal work performed on behalf of business clients, specifically the wealth management, asset management and retirement businesses. Under supervision of business attorneys, assist in providing legal work to business. Review and draft contracts, memorandums, letters and disclosure documents. Review and prepare regulatory responses and documents. Interact with State and Federal regulators, as needed. Perform legal research under the supervision of attorneys. Create and maintain system to organize files, contracts and other legal department documents. Assist with preparation and distribution of materials for Board meetings and maintenance of corporate records.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should preferably have Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certification. Must have 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel (spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc.) is required. Prior SEC, stock exchange filing and/or corporate governance experience is a plus.
