Intellectual Property Patent Paralegal The candidate will review office actions and other communications from patent offices and reporting same to client. Will prepare formal documents, forward to client for signature and file with various patent offices. Handle daily monitoring of docket and take appropriate steps to clear deadlines. Work closely with the docketing staff to ensure all dates are docketed. Communicate with USPTO personnel as needed. Handle and process foreign associate invoices.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should preferably have Bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate is required. Must have 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution. Familiarity with USPTO electronic filings required. Should be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook - training will be provided for docketing, document management and other software as needed. Must be versed in all facets of patent prosecution, including U.S., PCT, non-PCT convention, and national stage filings. Knowledge and execution of US patent filings via EFS required. Knowledge and management of foreign patent prosecution and working with foreign agents is essential.
