Paralegal Responsibilities: Provide general paralegal support to the UOP Commercial Law group including internet/intranet research, and general document preparation and record keeping. Provide administrative assistant services to assigned members of UOP Commercial Law group including coordinating and scheduling business meetings and schedule teleconferences. Process T&Es and preparing reports and advanced graphic presentations. Support UOP’s contract management through SFDC including docket submittal review and processing, run SFDC system reports as required. Support all UOP contract digitization efforts, including on-line forms library, etc. Support law department initiatives. Work closely with procurement, sales, sales support, business leaders, program management, finance, tax and compliance, among others, to ensure a cohesive team. Prepare presentation slides, binders and reports. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: HS Diploma. Paralegal Certificate. 3+ years of paralegal experience in the commercial law department of a law firm or corporate law department. Preferred: BA or BS Degree. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Salesforce.com, Outlook). Ability to perform complex, advanced, confidential administrative and quasi-legal duties. Ability to assume significant and varied responsibilities related to Law Department functions, often with little supervision. Ability to become well-versed in corporate and divisional operating procedures. Ability to juggle significant docket of varied assignments and to prioritize among those assignments. Exceptional organizations skills, individual initiative, professional demeanor and behaviour. Tactful, diplomatic and discrete. Ability to interact with executive levels on a frequent basis and with departmental leader.
