Paralegal Duties: Supporting the HealthCare Partners business. Reporting to the VP, AGC, Plan and Provider Contracting, will support the plan and provider contracting team, and the legal team in general, with various aspects of contracting, including: Assisting with contract drafting and contract template development, conducting research, assisting with development of contract management processes and procedures, maintaining contract management database. Will be required to develop and foster relationships across the organization and provide legal support in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Will be part of an outstanding team dedicated to supporting high quality care in a physician-led environment. Supporting and working collaboratively with the national payor and provider contracting team. Conducting research on health plan and health care provider contracting issues. Assisting with development and updates of best demonstrated practices (“BDPsâ€). Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and implementing health plan and healthcare provider templates, agreements and memoranda. Experience in healthcare contracting and regulation is a plus. Provide excellent legal support for a wide-variety of healthcare contracting issues within Partners. Juggle and successfully prioritize competing and voluminous work streams simultaneously. Perform special assignments or projects as needed. Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies, or have related experience. Successful track record of 2+ years as a paralegal. Experience in the healthcare industry a plus. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. High degree of organization and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated accountability and keen ability to meet aggressive timeframes.
