Paralegal - Business & Real Estate The paralegal will perform a broad range of case related and document management duties, under the supervision of an attorney or team of attorneys. The job responsibilities will include: Plan, develop and manage transaction related documents. Prepares or assists in drafting and finalizing legal documents,-such as lease summaries, title review and memoranda, due diligence memoranda and closing documents for purchase, sales and leases. Conducts fact gathering and database research, retrieving information and compiling them in an organized manner as needed, with special attention to title review and transactional due diligence, including reviewing title, survey matters, leases, analyzing zoning matters and related inquiry. Utilize technical databases to upload, search and retrieve supporting documents, exercising independent decisions and recommendations to the supervising attorney. Work with software and systems such local government zoning regulations and Bradford forms, title documents. Title review. Working with title companies for closings and review of title company closing documents. Monitor, prioritize, organize, and facilitate daily workflow and transaction management in order to meet project deadlines. Assist in the preparation of documents for entity formation, amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships and LLC s. Prepare, conduct and analyze UCC searches and filings in all states. Provide a high level of administrative general functions as required, specifically in the assistance in all stages of corporate transactions and in the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local requirements in the conduct of business activities. Work closely with attorneys in the department, including members and associates. Communicate with other legal and support departments as well as regional offices as needed. Provide constructive guidelines to other employees and representatives of third parties who do business with the firm.

A Bachelor s degree or an equivalent combination of business training and experience is required. A certification of completion from a Paralegal school or institute is preferred. 10+ years of progressively responsible paralegal experience supporting attorneys in a sophisticated and dynamic transactional law practice required. Familiarity with general processes, systems philosophies, structure, methods and approaches of mid-to-large sized firms. Should have strong real estate and corporate experience. Excellent comfort and proficiency with technical systems and preparing documents is required. Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, grammar and basic legal terminology; strong writing skills. Knowledge of law office practices and procedures. Knowledge of various court electronic filing procedures for applicable practice areas. Knowledge of legal and general research techniques and the use of software systems available for conducting research. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with high attention to detail. Ability to establish good rapport with attorneys, clients, and other employees.
