Paralegal The candidate will provide assistance to attorneys representing company’s Health and its' subsidiaries and affiliates regarding corporate and healthcare transactional matters. Reports to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel and/or Chief Counsel, Transactions and will take direction from attorneys within the Office of the General Counsel. Primarily supports corporate, real estate, intellectual property, research and supply chain. Performs contract drafting, tracking and maintenance. Reviews and revises contracts and other legal documents for accuracy and compliance. Drafts memoranda, reports and correspondence for internal and external use. Maintains and updates approved template documents. Conducts legal and factual research including public record searches. Monitors changes in health care laws, regulations and governmental guidance and prepares reports. Gathers data for filings, transactions, investigations and reporting. Coordinates document migration projects for shared database. Assists with implementation and maintenance of the system contract management system and the departmental document database, as needed. Demonstrates proficiency in health care corporate entity structure and relationships with its subsidiaries and affiliates to manage governing and related documents. Interfaces diplomatically with internal and external individuals to expedite services and facilitate requests. Performs other functions to assist in the effective operation of the Office of the General Counsel and as otherwise requested.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have American Bar Association approved Paralegal education program. Associates degree or higher in Paralegal Studies (Bachelor's degree preferred). 5+ years of prior in-house or transactional law firm experience preferred. Experience using legal database software. Excellent oral and written communication skills including good grammatical skills and ability to proofread documents. Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail required. Computer literacy with proficiency in Word Office software.
