Paralegal I The candidate will researched and resolves legal inquiries and issues to support attorneys with defense of consumer lending litigation. Advises company personnel on routine matters. May prepare agreements, documents, and pleadings relating to litigation and non-litigation matters according to specified content and format. Provides research and background investigation under the general direction of an attorney. Works with attorney on litigation defense and projects as assigned. A BS/BA degree or higher is preferrred. Paralegal certification may be required in some states Should have 1+ year of legal experience. Prior experience as an in-house or law firm paralegal, particularly litigation is desired. Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills. Strong research skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills. Must have exposure to company ARROW (Application Redesign Rewritten On Windows) application. Should have exposure to company MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) application. Knowledge and understanding of Fidelity financial servicing systems are preferred. Ability: Ability to take direction from more senior paralegals and attorneys; Ability to manage a high volume number of cases; Ability to learn and utilize various internal computer systems.
