Personal Injury Case Manager/ Legal Assistant The candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day casework by providing assistance to the Attorneys. Provides assistance to the Mass Torts and Referral Attorney(s). Supports and exhibits the Crumley Roberts non-negotiable traits and brand promise. Assists the Mass Torts and Referral Attorney(s) with client cases, including: collection of needed questionnaires and fact sheets from clients, client updates, regular communication with co-counsel firms. May assist with conducting research and other details in preparation for litigation and settlement. May assist with the legal and medical information for a case; Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor to Crumley Roberts' employees and clients. Effectively utilizes the resources and applications of the in-house NEEDLES program. Must be able to effectively communicate, multi-task, problem-solve and to overall handle tasks quickly and tactfully with all staff levels and the public. Interfaces with the client on non-legal issues related to the management of the case and refers legal issues to the appropriate attorney(s). Conducts preparation for filings; submits appropriate information and forms/documents to the appropriate co-counsel firms. Maintains excellent customer service and interfaces with the client according to practice group procedure. All contact with clients is documented per operating procedure. Manages and utilizes a checklist on a daily basis, maintaining due items within operating procedure. Processes mail on a daily basis to review any additional information pertinent to the cases being managed; determines and enters any necessary case notes for items received. Interacts with the client to ensure receipt of all appropriate questionnaires, fact sheets and information is received from the client and forwarded to co-counsel in a timely manner. Interfaces with other team members in order to achieve department goals and budgetary requirements; may provide back up to other team members, as designated by the Mass Torts and Referral Attorney and/or Department Supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High school diploma /GED and preferred 6 months legal office assistant, paralegal or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Deadline: 3-June-2017 (EST)
